Important Reverse Mortgage Disclosures

1 The borrower must meet all loan obligations, including living in the property as the principal residence and paying property charges, including property taxes, fees, and hazard insurance. The borrower must maintain the home. If these obligations are not met, the loan may become due and payable.

2 Minimum age requirements vary by state and loan type. 62 is the minimum age for a HECM. Certain proprietary reverse mortgage products may have minimum ages as low as 55.

3 All reverse mortgage borrowers must complete independent counseling to determine whether a reverse mortgage is appropriate for their needs. A reverse mortgage is not the right solution for every consumer.
